Ocean Optics recently marked the 10th anniversary of its first spectrometer sale. In the decade since it released its S1000, the company has sold more than 25,000 spectrometers worldwide; increased its staff from three to nearly 100 employees; and expanded its business to include optical fibers and probes, optical sensors, and precision thin films and optics. The company has also developed almost 800 components, from cuvette holders to white standards.
