Ocean Optics, Inc. has completed its move into a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Winter Park, Fla. A 25% increase in production of the company's spectrometer and electro-optic systems through Q3 2003 fueled the move to the new 31,000-square-foot manufacturing center and created the need for additional jobs. "The new facility meets our immediate production needs and provides room for expansion," said Chuck Neel, general manager of Electro-optic Manufacturing. "We've gained more than 24,000 square feet of space compared with our former facility and doubled our number of workstations. We're now in a better position to meet the needs of our growing business."
