Oglebay Norton Co. has named Michael D. Lundin its president and chief operating officer.

Oglebay Norton Co. recently announced the appointment of Michael D. Lundin as president and chief operating officer. Lundin was promoted from the position of president, Great Lakes Minerals segment, and succeeds John N. Lauer. Lauer said, "The appointment of Michael Lundin to the position of president and chief operating officer reflects his strong minerals operational experience. Michael was largely responsible for the profitable growth of Michigan Limestone Operations over the last 10 years. He is a clear strategic thinker and results-oriented manager.
