OLEDs Asia Postponed Until Spring 2004

Due to ongoing concerns about severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), Intertech Corp. has announced the postponement of its OLEDs Asia 2003 conference. The conference, which was scheduled for June 16-18, 2003, in Shanghai, China, has been cancelled and rescheduled for March 2004. The date and location have not yet been determined. "Because of recommendations of U.S., Canadian and World Health Organization officials, as well as the fact that many of our speakers and sponsors have instituted travel restrictions or have expressed concern about traveling to China at this time, postponement of the conference is the most appropriate way to respond to the current situation," said Patricia Kinzer, conference director at Intertech. "Our top priority is the safety and security of our conference attendees, speakers, staff and other conference participants. We also thought it would be best to cancel the conference before people started to make travel arrangements and apply for visas."
