OM Group, Inc. (OMG) recently announced two new management appointments within its Base Metals business. Wayde Yeoman has been named to the newly created position of director, Cobalt Metal Sourcing and Marketing. Yeoman will have global commercial responsibilities for cobalt metal, including sales and marketing of briquettes and coarse grade powders, raw material sourcing, and balancing the company's refined cobalt metal production levels with market demand. Mike Lacis has been promoted to business manager, Inorganic Specialties, Cobalt. Lacis will be responsible for developing global sales and marketing strategies for the company's line of cobalt-based inorganic specialties, including carbonates, sulfates, nitrates and hydroxides. Additionally, he will manage the company's sales team, which also encompasses a network of agents and distributors.
