MoreParagon has released a new oval glass fusing kiln called the Ovation-10. It is a digital top-loader with a 41 x 11.25 x 22.5-in. interior. The roof, walls and bottom are made of 3 in. insulating firebrick. The kiln has both lid and sidewall heating elements, and the lid element coils are mounted inside a special groove that eliminates element pins. The kiln's maximum temperature is 1700 F. Two counter-balance lid springs are standard on the Ovation-10. "One of the main benefits of the lid springs is the reduced stress on the hinge area of the back wall," said John S. Hohenshelt, president.
