The Crystalsizer particle size distribution analyzer from Horiba Instruments is designed for the measurement of dry powders in a process environment. A wide range of materials can be measured over the size range of 0.7-2500 microns. With analysis times of 30 seconds to 3 minutes, users can more closely control manufacturing processes or replace slower analytical methods. Minimum operator training is required with the automatic control of sample feed rate and dispersion pressure, and the advanced software has correlation functions to match existing measurement techniques such as sieves or laser diffraction.
