PPG Industries has recognized 10 of its suppliers for extraordinary performance in 1999. The company’s Excellent Supplier Awards are based on ratings for quality, delivery, documentation, innovation, responsiveness and commercial value. Participation in the company’s Supplier Added Value Program ($AVE), as well as other continuous improvements, play an increasingly important role in earning the awards.

Firms receiving Excellent Supplier Awards for extraordinary performance in 1999 include: Corhart, chrome refractory materials; Dow Specialty Chemicals, solvents; The Folks Creative Partners, labels; Hazmat Environmental Group, hazardous waste transportation; Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, legal services; Lloyd Transportation/Quality Carriers, bulk motor freight transportation; Monofrax, fused cast refractory; PanCanadian Energy Services, natural gas; Russell-Stanley, polyethylene drums; and South Hills Movers, household goods shipments.
