Precision Electronic Glass (PEG) recently announced the opening of a new metrology lab. "[The new lab] combines some of the latest technology in data collection, image capture and Internet communications features," said Phillip Rossi, president. "This permits our clients to get the real picture of their products at the same time that we're designing and manufacturing them." The lab features the SmartScope(R) Flash 200, a versatile bench top system that includes state-of the art video and auto focus designed to provide a general purpose, multi-dimensional measurement system. The SmartScope system has unique capabilities, including built-in accuracy, profile illumination features and metrology software. According to Rossi, this gives the company the ability to provide an infinite variety of functions for general purpose dimensional measurement.
