PremaTech Acquires Assets of Chand Kare Technical Ceramics

PremaTech LLC recently acquired the assets of Chand Kare Technical Ceramics, a leader in advanced ceramics machining. Renamed PremaTech Chand Advanced Ceramics, the company will continue operating in Worcester, Mass. PremaTech LLC, based in Greensburg, Pa., specializes in materials technology. The Chand acquisition extends the company's presence into the advanced ceramics industry and provides PremaTech Chand with the financial, sales and administrative infrastructure necessary to promote the advancement of technical ceramics. Mona Pappafava, president of PremaTech LLC and the Pappafava family's Greensburg-based General Carbide Corp., will serve as president of PremaTech Chand. Directing the operations of PremaTech Chand will be Ron Chand, cofounder and chief technologist of Chand Kare.
