Premier Mill Corp. has introduced its double planetary mixer in a laboratory size model. The PLM-1.5 has a mix can with a 1.4 liter capacity, allowing users to use as little as 500 ml of product. The unit is designed to handle materials of extremely high viscosity or those requiring delicate mixing action. It has proven itself ideal for adhesives/sealants, castable ceramics, metal composites, thick film inks and potting compounds. The close tolerances maintained between the mix blades and the tank wall, and between the mix blades to the bottom of the tank, ensure efficient mixing action -- reducing process time and increasing heat transfer without the need for scrapers.
