Premier Mill Corp. has upgraded its customer testing laboratory in all areas, including equipment, process monitoring electronics and utilities to enhance equipment utilization. The newly installed equipment includes the new QMAX Supermill, model QM-10; the model SM45 Supermill 2; and the PSM 115V submersible mill. The QMAX QM-10 is a 10-liter, high energy horizontal media mill. The model SM45 Supermill 2 is state-of-the-art horizontal mill with additional horsepower and electronic speed drive. The unit has various screen options to handle fine media milling applications for low, medium and high viscosity dispersions. The PSM 115V with vacuum capability is available for testing on pigment dispersion for paints, inks and other slurry grinding applications. Also installed were a model ESD 2/1 pilot plant dual shaft mixer and the Navigator, a high-tech monitoring and control system with microprocessor and network communication capabilities.
