Designed to meet the most stringent processing requirements, this new double planetary mixer has proven itself ideal for applications ranging from castable ceramics, metal composites and thin film inks to potting compounds and adhesives, the company reports. Complete homogeneity is reportedly obtained very quickly, typically 30% faster than with other double planetary mixers. Close tolerances (from blade to blade and blade to tank) impart high shear on even the most viscous products, moving the entire batch and eliminating dead zones. According to the company, other benefits include complete deaeration of the finished product, smoother finished products and mixes, and contamination free materials.
