From June 19 through September 25, the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, is hosting the 57th Premio Faenza Exhibition. Entries in this international competition come from contemporary ceramic artists from all around the world. This year, the competition has been exclusively reserved for artists under the age of 40 in order to promote and support the work of the new generation of artists.
Founded in 1908, the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza reportedly boasts the largest collection of ceramic art worldwide. Since the beginning of 2011, director Claudia Casali has been guiding the museum through a process of renewal and change. For more information, visit www.micfaenza.org.
