Binks: Pump for Finishing Applications (posted 7/14/08)

July 14, 2008

The new stainless steel Exel™ pump from Binks is designed for high-flow circulation systems requiring moderate pressure with maximum durability and dependability. The pump works with water- and solvent-borne fluids, catalyzed coatings, high-solids coatings, abrasive materials, and moisture-sensitive materials. The Exel pump is also ideal for highly filled abrasive, thixotrophic and shear-sensitive materials.

Available in three 4:5.1 all-stainless-steel models, the Binks Exel pump delivers up to 6.85 gpm at 60 cycles per minute and features a maximum inlet pressure of 100 psi (6.9 bar) and a maximum working pressure of 450 psi (31 bar). At approximately the same rate of air consumption, the Exel pump can deliver significantly more fluid than other horizontally opposed piston pumps.

Features include stainless steel wetted fluid chambers with self-priming pistons and smooth internal passages with straight through-flow patterns. All Excel pumps can be ordered with hard chrome-plated stainless steel or ceramic-coated pistons with pressure-loaded wiper seals, ensuring a longer life with less maintenance.
