A brief look at companies that have recently received ISO certification.

Carborundum Corp., Boron Nitride, Amherst, N.Y., has received QS 9000 certification. The certification verifies that the company has implemented systems that exceed the requirements of ISO 9001 and satisfy customer specific requirements.

CertainTeed Corp., Athens, Ga., has received ISO 9002 registration for its insulation manufacturing facility. The Athens plant is the fourth CertainTeed Insulation Group facility to be ISO 9002 registered.

DFC Ceramics, Augusta, Ga., has received ISO 9002 certification for the manufacture of refractory fired shapes. A division of Thermal Ceramics, the company is a supplier to the investment casting and super alloy markets.

Du-Co Ceramics Co., Saxonburg, Pa., has received ISO 9002 registration. The 51-year old company supplies ceramics for many OEMs.

REMET® Corp., Chicago, Ill., has received ISO 9000 certification. All other REMET locations have previously obtained certification.
