Centorr Vacuum Industries: Vacuum Annealing Furnace (posted 1/12/09)

The furnace, which is based on existing designs for vacuum tube annealing and degassing, includes a new control system and improved high-vacuum pumping system.

Centorr Vacuum Industries (CVI) recently announced that it is in the process of completing the manufacture of a 28-m-long precision vacuum annealing furnace for straight and U-tubes for use in nuclear power stations. The furnace, which is based on existing designs previously sold worldwide by CVI for vacuum tube annealing and degassing, was upgraded to include a new control system and improved high-vacuum pumping system. The unit is rated for operation at approximately 700°C in high vacuum and has a 7000 Kg capability per load.
