Moskowitz commented on a number of Ceradyne's increasing opportunities in ceramic armor, toward which the company recently completed a $4 million expansion of production capacity for lightweight body armor for military ground troops and diesel engine components. Moskowitz also discussed expectations of continued sales growth in the areas of ceramics for orthodontics and ceramic components for diesel engines, and new applications of ceramic armor for military vehicles.
