Cevisama Hosts Biggest Exhibition Ever

Cevisama 2000, which is being held in Valencia, Spain, March 7-11, is shaping up to be the biggest exhibition ever. At press time, 7% more exhibit space compared to 1998 had been sold. Over 120 Spanish tile companies will highlight their latest products at this event. Other exhibitors, including a number of foreign companies, will showcase mosaics and glass blocks; sanitaryware; frits, colors and enamels; and tools and materials for laying and fixing tiles.

Immediately following Cevisama will be the 6th Qualicer Congress, held in Castellon March 12-15. Spanish tiles are characterized by their high technical quality, which is the result of research carried out by the manufacturers, the Ceramic Technology Institute (ITC) and by Qualicer. More than 100 papers will be presented on the tile industry’s latest research projects. An exhibition, titled “The Ceramic Trail,” will trace the chronological and geographical progress of ceramics in building, from the East in ancient times to the West today.
