Clayworld Acquires Assets of Ex-Cel

Clayworld, Inc. has purchased the assets of Ex-Cel, Inc., a division of House of Ceramics and American Art Clay Company (AMACO) of Indianapolis, Ind. The Ceramic Art Division of Clayworld is making the Ex-Cel acquisition.

Clayworld will continue to manufacture and distribute ceramic slip and other prepared clays from the former Ex-Cel plants in Memphis, Tenn., and Jacksonville, Fla., while introducing Ex-Cel slip to the existing Clayworld plant in San Antonio, Texas. Robert A. Willoughby will remain as general manager of the newly formed Ex-Cel Division.
