DENTSPLY International Inc. recently announced the appointment of Bret W. Wise as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective December 1, 2002. Wise comes to DENTSPLY from Ferro
Corp., where he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He played a key role in Ferro's acquisition and divestiture activity, geographic expansion and the rebalancing of Ferro's businesses toward core capabilities with greatest growth potential. Prior to joining Ferro, he held the position of vice president and chief financial officer at WCI Steel, Inc. A certified public accountant, Wise earned his bachelor's of science degree in accounting from the Indiana University Business School in Bloomington, Ind.
