The Micropilot S, a high accuracy radar gauge, will be available from
Endress + Hauser in January 2001. According to the company, the
Micropilot S is the only high accuracy gauge of its type that uses
pulsed time-of-flight technology instead of the frequency modulated
continuous wave principle. The new generation radar level gauge
reportedly comes with a significantly lower price tag than comparable
models on today's market. And, unlike mechanical gauges, the
Micropilot S requires no maintenance, further reducing cost of
ownership, the company reports.
