Enduring Images: Desktop Ceramic Printing System (posted 1/8/09)

January 8, 2009

Enduring Images recently released a new desktop ceramic printing system that provides low cost and ease of use for the customization of ceramic products such as tableware, tile, bath and plumbing fixtures, and porcelain enameled metal to businesses and universities. From transferring a family photo to a customized plate at a pottery studio to proofing artwork at a large manufacturer, the new system simplifies the production of custom ceramic images.

The system unlocks opportunities for businesses in a time when margins are tight and differentiation from the competition is essential. For example, a company logo can be easily transferred to dinnerware, and custom art can be duplicated for tile murals and in a variety of tile work.

The system uses a new state-of-the-art printing platform that delivers true 1200 dpi print quality, reportedly the highest image resolution of any commercial ceramic imaging system. The system uses all dry ceramic chemistry, so very little waste is generated and there are no organic films or liquid solvents to dispose of or harm the environment.

“New technology allows us to offer this production system at half the cost and half the size of our full-scale production systems,” said Ron Manwiller, chief operation officer. “Now the door is open for a variety of small and large businesses and educational programs to increase their offerings and bottom lines with computer-to-print simplicity that makes printing images as simple as a mouse click.”
