One aspect of Barack Obama’s plan to revitalize the economy will reportedly address the lack of energy efficiency in government and other public buildings. “We need to upgrade our federal buildings by replacing old heating systems and installing efficient light bulbs,” he said. “That won't just save you, the American taxpayer, billions of dollars each year. It will put people back to work."
Certainly sounds promising, depending on how cohesive and comprehensive the overhauls would be. Perhaps energy-efficient windows, not to mention brick, could get a much-needed kick-start out of this plan as well.
