FCG Inc. has joined forces with Assabet Lapping to offer grinding and
lapping services. Fourteen centerless grinders offer through feeds
of .032-6.00 in. outside diameter by a maximum length of 12 ft.
Tolerances are within .0002 in. Center-type and Blanchard grinders
are also available. The company's 25 free abrasive lapping machines
offer outside diameters of 0.625-32 in., with maximum heights of 4
in. Additional specs include flatness tolerance, .000005 in.;
thickness tolerance, .00001 in.; surface finish, .5 RMS; and
parallelism, .00001 in. Cylindrical lapping is also available.
