October 9, 2000
Ferro Corp. is reportedly cooperating with Indonesia's Sinar Mas
Group to set up a plastics and ceramics factory with an investment of
US$15 million. The plant will have initial output capacity of 1,000
tons from an installed capacity of 2,500 tons a year. Ninety percent
of output will be sold domestically. Ferro senior deputy president RJ
Finch said that despite the security and political instability in the
country, Indonesia held much potential for his company.
