Gasbarre Products, Inc. has acquired Best Press Co. of Castle Hayne,
N.C. Best Press is known for its line of hydraulic presses,
specifically the CNC closed loop hydraulic press line. Gasbarre's
strategic plan resulted in the acquisition in order to offer
expertise in new hydraulic presses and rebuilt and remanufactured
presses of all tonnages. Best hydraulic presses are manufactured in
30- through 750-ton ranges. CNC presses reportedly offer control
advantages unlike conventional hydraulic presses. The facilities in
North Carolina will remain open, and manufacturing of the presses
will be done at those facilities, as well as the Gasbarre press
division in DuBois, Pa. Bob McKotch, president of the press division,
will manage both operations.
