currently offers miniature, dry-pressed alumina. These alumina
ceramics reportedly provide a cost-effective solution for demanding
applications. The small-pressed alumina components are designed
specifically for use in varactors and other miniature electronic
devices. Starting with high quality raw materials, GBC reportedly
uses precise process controls from milling through spray drying and
powder segregation to assure reproducibility and uniform press
powder. According to the company, millions of parts per order can be
processed using multi-cavity, high volume manufacturing. Parts can be
manufactured as small as 0.007 in. inside diameter, 0.010 in. wall
thickness and 0.008 in. long.
