Gerling: Microwave Processing Equipment

April 28, 2004

Gerling Applied Engineering, Inc. offers a selection of standard components designed specifically for 5.8 GHz materials and process research applications. Microwave systems designed with these components reportedly offer a number of benefits compared to 2.45 GHz and 896/915 MHz systems, including higher dielectric loss, greater multi-mode field uniformity, smaller single mode chambers and higher plasma density. The equipment provides 700 watts of continuously variable microwave power and includes compact waveguide design components developed specifically for heating applications, as well as versatile waveguide applicators that can be used with a variety of materials.
