December 7, 2010
The Shenandoah Potters Guild held their annual holiday sale last week.

Once a year, the artists of the Shenandoah Potters Guild display their finest pieces at the holiday pottery sale. This year's sale was held on Saturday, November 27 at Jim Barnett Park in Winchester, Va. A variety of handmade pottery and ceramic ware was available for art enthusiasts and holiday shoppers alike. Items for sale included the Japanese-style Raku pottery, decorative tiles, and functional stoneware crock.

The Shenandoah Potters Guild formed in 1987 in Strasburg, Va. Its mission is to uphold the historical significance of the local pottery of Shenandoah Valley and to increase the technical and artistic skills of its members. The guild fulfills this mission through programs, workshops, and events such as the holiday pottery sale. For more information about the Shenandoah Potters Guild, visit www.shenandoahpottersguild.com.
