Harper: High Temp Steel Belt Furnace

Harper International, in collaboration with Sandvik Process Systems, has developed a steel belt furnace designed for high efficiency, high temperature continuous processing of powder, granular or particle aggregates in air or controlled atmospheres. Typical materials include cobalt, copper, molybdenum, tungsten and others. These systems are constructed for processing of materials that agglomerate or may suffer degradation due to mechanical working at high temperatures. Placement of the material directly on the belt eliminates the need for trays or other carrier media, enhancing gas- solid contact and minimizing material handling. The Harper-Sandvik systems incorporate Harper's advanced furnace designs and process engineering expertise along with Sandvik's steel belt technology and belt transition hardware to deliver optimal belt life under superior material processing conditions.
