The Drymeister® model DMR-1 is available in a range of sizes from pilot to large-scale production with evaporation rates as high as 6000 kg/h.

The Hosokawa Micron Drymeister® model DMR-1 is one of the latest advancements in flash drying technology. This machine is available in a range of sizes from pilot to large-scale production with evaporation rates as high as 6000 kg/h. The design of the machine and its high-speed dispersion rotor, in combination with the utilization of a classifying rotor, reportedly yields remarkable drying efficiency. Features include the ability to handle a wide range of feed viscosities, from slurries and pastes to filter cakes. The machine maintains dispersion of solids for efficient drying and high inlet gas temperatures up to 600°C.

Additional features include minimal product buildup on internals, minimal product re-agglomeration, the ability to dry products as fine as 250 nm, and high evaporation rates. Closed-loop systems can also be designed using inert gas or superheated steam to dry explosive or heat-sensitive materials.

Testing can be performed at Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems’ Technical Center at in Summit, N.J. For more information, call (908) 273-6360, e-mail info@hmps.hosokawa.com or visit www.hmicronpowder.com.
