GE recently promoted Dan Janki to chief financial officer (CFO) of GE Energy. Janki, GE’s former vice president of Corporate Investor Communications, succeeds Tom Saddlemire, who is retiring after a 38-year GE career. Janki will report to John Krenicki, president and chief executive officer of GE Energy.

“Dan has done an excellent job expanding the role of our investor relations function,” said GE CFO Keith Sherin. “He increased our global reach and has been an effective advocate for investors inside the company. He is a valued advisor both internally and externally. With his leadership skills, financial expertise and knowledge of the business, Dan will be a great asset to GE Energy.”

“Tom Saddlemire has been an exceptional CFO at GE Energy, as well as a trusted advisor and strategist for the team,” said Krenicki. “It is testament to the company’s management system that his successor is someone of the caliber and experience of Dan Janki. We look forward to Dan joining the leadership team and helping us grow our Energy business around the world.”

Janki began his career with GE in 1992 in the Financial Management Program and subsequently joined the GE Audit staff. He has held a number of senior finance positions within the company, including CFO of GE Equity and of GE Money-Americas, and on the corporate staff of former Vice Chairman Dennis Dammerman. Janki holds a bachelor’s of finance and accounting degree from The Ohio State University.

In addition, Trevor Schauenberg has been named vice president of Corporate Investor Communications. Formerly CFO of Capital Solutions, Schauenberg will report to CFO Keith Sherin. He has been with GE for 17 years, holding a variety of global finance leadership positions. Prior to Capital Solutions, he was CFO at GE Transportation and in a number of former GE insurance businesses in Europe. Schauenberg started in GE’s Financial Management Program and completed over five years in Audit before moving into his management roles. He holds a bachelor’s of finance degree from The University of Iowa.
