Mikron Infrared's model M7500 infrared camera is configurable for mid- or long-wave imaging and four temperature bands. Billed as a technology "first" in versatility and low cost, the new camera is unique in un-cooled microbolometer cameras. The company's patent-pending spectral tuning technology enables the M7500 to image the mid-wave bands of 3.9 um (furnaces and boilers through flames) and 4.8-5.2 um (for glass), in a temperature range of 400-1600ºC. The camera provides temperature measurement accuracy of ± 2ºC for glass and ceramics, as well as other applications.
