Minox/Elcan Industries maintains a test laboratory in Mammaroneck, N.Y., where materials can be tested free of charge. A 24-in. diameter tumbler screener, which is used during feasibility and trial runs, can be configured to use different anti-blinding systems, including ball trays, roller brushes, air knives, or a combination of brushes and air knives. A 48-in. diameter tumbler screener is used for scale-up studies, toll manufacturing and rentals. The action of the tumbler screening machine duplicates the motion of hand screening. A combination of gentle tossing action and circular movement allows fine particles to pass through the screen.
