Sumitok Magnetics Inc., a unit of Sumitomo, is closing its entire
hard ferrite manufacturing facility in Bardstown, Ky. No other
Sumitomo ferrite manufacturing facilities are involved with this
closure and liquidation, which is being handled under contract with
Mohr Corp. The closing involves the immediate discontinuation of all
manufacturing at this facility and liquidation of all assets on site,
including machinery and equipment, furniture and fixtures, and real
estate. The facility is approximately 40,000 square feet and was
established approximately 12 years ago.
