Morgan Advanced Ceramics (MAC) recently announced the expansion of operations at its facility located in Hayward, Calif. In a new initiative to support and strengthen MAC’s core strategies, the Hayward facility now houses the Hayward Coatings division, a coatings applications center. The new applications center consists of two sections -- one is dedicated to insulcoatP Parylene application, and the other is for conventional coatings applications. The center’s primary processing capability is the application of Everslik 1201, a thin coating for metal hardware on chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) equipment and for applications requiring extreme corrosion resistance at a cost-effective price. Additionally, the Hayward Coatings division applies EVERLUBE(R) dry film coatings, manufactured at MAC’s EVERLUBE Products Division in Peachtree City, Ga.
