Ceradyne, Inc. was recently given the 2006 Growth Company of the Year Award from the National Association of Investors Corp. (NAIC) at its BetterInvesting National Convention. The award was presented to Jerrold J. Pellizzon, Ceradyne's chief financial officer, who gave a brief acceptance speech. The Growth Company of the Year Award has been presented annually since 1952 to U.S. companies representing the principles of American free enterprise. Companies are nominated on the basis of sales and earnings growth; product and service excellence; and outstanding management and employee and public relations.
