NETZSCH-Gerätebau GmbH recently introduced the DIL 402 CD dual-sample and differential dilatometer. Sample throughput can be increased through the simultaneous measurement of two samples, or one sample can be analyzed in comparison to a reference sample. In-situ calibration measurements can be carried out with sample measurements under perfectly identical test conditions, and greater measurement accuracy can be obtained via the differential measurement of two samples, which is especially valuable for long-term studies. The new unit features high resolution (up to 0.125 nm) and a wide measuring range (up to 5000 µm) in a broad temperature range up to 1600°C.
