The new Netzsch NKM 20 agitator bead mill is now being manufactured
exclusively for the production of offset ink. The mill offers a
distinct advantage with UV cure inks because of its precise
temperature control. The NKM mill's first tests with UV and sheet fed
inks went extremely well, convincing designers at Netzsch of the
mill's grinding efficiency. Features include an annular chamber mill,
vertical grinding chamber arrangement, a peg/counter-peg grinding
system, and cooled agitator shaft and grinding chamber. The NKM was
designed to meet the demand for better sound insulation and easy
accessibility, and these goals were achieved by creating adjustable
side walls. When the mill's side walls are closed, a sound insulated
housing is created.
