Netzsch Offers Thermokinetic Analysis Workshops

Netzsch, Inc., Thermal Analysis Division, will hold a series of two- day vendor-neutral workshops on thermokinetic analysis at the National Brick Research Center at Clemson University in February 2001. There were will be special emphasis on applying kinetic analysis to the thermal behavior of ceramic materials for optimization of firing and sintering processes for materials such as Al₂O₃, Si₃N₄ and others. Participants are encouraged to bring their own data in ASCII format for characterization and modeling. Some of the instrumental techniques to be applied include dilatometry, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
