NSG Announces Changes in Management Structure (posted 10/8/07)

NSG Group’s Specialty Glass business, comprising the Information Technology and Glass Fiber businesses, is being integrated into the group's new global organization.

Effective April 2007, NSG established an integrated global Flat Glass business, covering all of the group’s Building Products and Automotive operations worldwide. NSG Group’s Specialty Glass business, comprising the Information Technology and Glass Fiber businesses, is now also being integrated into the new global organization.

To advance the processes of integration and globalization, NSG has created the new management positions of group chief executive officer (CEO) and group chief operating officer (COO). In this way, the group will ensure that it leverages all available expertise and experience in the management of an international company. These changes are intended to further strengthen the senior management structure of the NSG Group to enable it to achieve the objectives of the group’s Vision and Medium-Term Plan.

The board of NSG Group recently announced the following senior management appointments, effective October 1, 2007: Yozo Izuhara will continue in the role of chairman of NSG Group, leading the board of NSG Group; Katsuji Fujimoto, previously president and representative director, was appointed president and group CEO, with responsibility for monitoring the profitable operation and development of the NSG Group; and Stuart Chambers, previously executive vice president and director, was appointed executive vice president and group COO and representative director, with responsibility for managing the operations of the NSG Group.
