Vidrios Lirquén, the NSG Group’s float glass joint venture in Chile, has resumed production after being put out of action by the earthquake that struck the region in February 2010. Vidrios Lirquén is jointly owned by the NSG Group, Saint-Gobain and Inversiones Pathfinder. During the rebuild, Vidrios Lirquén was able to organize the appropriate logistics to continue to supply the Chilean market from the other manufacturing sites of its shareholders. In addition, the company was able to maintain its workforce of 280, who were relocated to other areas during the stoppage.
