Paragon: Redesigned Enameling Kilns

October 10, 2006
Paragon has redesigned its manual-fire E-9AX, E-10A, E-14A and Q-11A kilns. The firing chambers remain the same size, but the switch and safety pilot light are now in the base of the kilns. Paragon also added a built-in pyrometer (temperature sensor). The earlier switch boxes that were mounted on the side have been discontinued. "These kilns were introduced in the 1960s," said John S. Hohenshelt, president. "We've made many changes to them over the years, but this is the first major redesign of these venerable models."
