PPG Industries' aerospace transparencies business has been awarded a
contract by Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group to supply aircraft
cockpit windows and landing light lens assemblies. Under the
agreement, which expires at the end of 2005, PPG is the sole source
for original-equipment transparencies and will supply replacement
parts to Boeing for operators of its airplanes. PPG will produce
original-equipment cockpit windows and spares for boeing 777, 767,
757 and Next-Generation 737 airplanes; original-equipment landing
light lens assemblies for Boeing 777, 767 and Next-Generation 737
airplanes; and landing light lenses for the Boeing 757.
