RAM Launches Joint Venture

RAM Products, Inc. and ResTech have announced a joint venture for the purpose of manufacturing and marketing the ResTech PowerPurge resin die system. Initial sales of the product are targeted for use with the RAM Press™, though the company expects to begin deliveries of the systems soon for other forming techniques, such as pressure casting. The system is currently used by many companies in the UK, as well as potteries in other European countries.

The new venture, ResTech-US, is operating temporarily out of the RAM facility in Columbus, Ohio. Plans are being finalized for a suitable permanent site. ResTech-US will initially employ fifteen die makers, ceramic technicians and engineers, with added jobs in the lab and production based on projected growth.

Hugh Ashley and Bill Clark, partners for ResTech, say that RAM is the ideal partner because of its worldwide dominance of the wet clay pressing process.
