My memory is notoriously abysmal, but I recall exactly what I was doing right about this time seven years ago. It was just a regular day in the office. We were all plugging along, getting things done, and then we first started hearing reports of what we thought was a horrible plane accident in New York.
The news kept getting worse and worse, until, as a nation, we were united in shock, sorrow and anger, rooted in front of the TV to find out what was happening. I can’t imagine how the family and friends of those lost on 9/11 must have felt during that time, or feel even today. I do know that as an “outsider” I’ve mourned with them and for them, no more so than on this day, every year.
