Riedhammer recently announced it will supply two new foam glass production lines to Norwegian company Norsk Glassgjenvinning. The installation includes a foam glass production plant consisting of two fast-firing tunnel kilns with belt conveyance, as well as the associated mixing and dosing technology for the production of foam glass gravel.
Plant production is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2012. The Riedhammer technology reportedly enables a maximum degree of production automation with low investment costs. The kilns are designed to minimize energy losses and to make the best possible use of waste heat for further process steps in order to obtain excellent specific energy consumption levels.
