Sauereisen: Low Expansion Cement

March 19, 2002
Peerless Electric, a manufacturer of AC & DC electric motors, uses Sauereisen's low expansion cement number 29 to promote efficient heat exchange for MTH Pumps. The thermally conductive cement offers outstanding dielectric properties. With precise application of the cement being vital, Peerless injects the cement inside the motor cavity surrounding the windings. Once the winding is encapsulated, the Sauereisen cement remains volume stable during the curing process. The material is an inorganic cement resistant to heat, electricity and acid. Typical applications include embedding heating elements, insulating thermocouples, coating resistors and coils, sealing, potting and assembling.
