SGCD Names Bopp Executive Director As Spence Retires

The Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators (SGCD) has selected Andrew Bopp to serve as executive director of the Washington, D.C.-based association to succeed Sandy Spence, who retired September 30. Spence had served as executive director since 1992, and she was honored at SGCD's Annual Banquet in San Diego for her outstanding service to SGCD.

Bopp joined the organization in 1995 as communications director and was promoted to associate executive director this year. He has worked on seminar planning and coordinated awards programs and other SGCD activities. A journalism graduate of West Virginia University, Bopp worked with the Association of Incentive Marketing, Union, N.J., before joining SGCD.

Caroline Struggs has joined SGCD as communications associate. Struggs is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and previously worked with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in Washington, D.C.
